Melanie DeHaan BSc (Eng), MD, FRCPC

Dr. Melanie DeHaan graduated from the University of Ottawa Faculty Of Medicine in 2002. She completed a 5-year residency training program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Toronto, with electives focused in Sports Medicine, Orthopaedics and Electromyography (EMG).Dr. DeHaan received certification in the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2007. She completed an additional 1 year fellowship in EMG and Neuromuscular Medicine through the Division of Neurology at the University of Toronto. Dr. DeHaan completed her Canadian EMG examination in 2008 and is certified in Electromyography by the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists.In 1996 she graduated with highest standing in the School of Engineering to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of Guelph. Her research experience has included work in ALS, osteoarthritis and orthopaedic engineering.
