Darryl Reid, Registered Physiotherapist, Vestibular Rehabilition Therapist

Darryl completed his undergraduate studies in human physiology and kinesiology at the University of Guelph. At Guelph he was the student athletic therapist for the men's varsity soccer team. He then went on to complete his Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. During his time at U of T, Darryl was the student representative for the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Ontario Section.

Over the past four years, Darryl has worked in orthopaedic private practice at a well- established clinic in Oakville, both as a treating clinician and as a business lead, helping to manage the clinic. For the past two years, Darryl has been fortunate to train as a vestibular therapist and treat many clients experiencing dizziness and balance issues.

Darryl has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients in his previous setting. He has experience working with older clients with balance issues, post-surgical patients, and high level athletes. He has also taken a special interest in treating patients with persistent pain and finds great satisfaction working with clients who have been experiencing pain for months and sometimes years. Like the rest of the team at Synergy, Darryl knows the importance of continuing education. He has taken several courses in soft tissue release, specific rehabilitation exercises and functional movement screening. He is challenging his Intermediate exam with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in the spring of 2015.

During his free time, Darryl enjoys travelling with his wife, staying in shape by playing recreational baseball and hockey, and playing guitar.
