Lamiya Zaidi, Registered Physiotherapist, Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist

Lamiya graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) in 2009. After working as a Kinesiologist for a year, she was inspired to return to school, where she completed her Masters of Physical Therapy from Queens University in 2012. She enjoys treating a variety of orthopedic conditions, and has a special interest in Women’s Health.

Lamiya uses evidence-based practice to create individualized treatment plans. She aims to educate her patients allowing them to become empowered and active component in the recovery process. She has worked with high-level athletes, weekend warriors, moms to be and those who want to maximize their health and performance.

Lamiya has taken a variety of courses and treats using manual therapy techniques, soft tissue release along with taping and exercise prescription to assist in faster and sustainable recovery. She has taken specialized courses allowing her to treat pre/post-natally, pelvic pain dysfunctions, diastasis, incontinence and prolapse.

Lamiya likes to remain active by taking spinning classes, Pilates and training at the gym.
