Practice Style (Philosophy) Mike’s passion is to help people overcome movement limitations and get back to doing what they love. His training as a Registered Massage Therapist at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage forms the foundation of his training. He uses a combination of myofascial release and deep tissue techniques, along with craniosacral therapy and lymphatic drainage, depending on the unique needs of each client. He is also trained in Anatomy in Motion which he uses to recommend movements to restore balance to the body. As a practitioner of Tai Chi for over 20 years, he has an appreciation for the powerful impact subtle variations and timing of movement can have on the body. Mike is currently fascinated by the connections and co-ordination possibilities of the hips, pelvis, and trunk of the body. Unique Facts Mike is expanding his knowledge of movement through the study and practice of Axis Syllabus. On a trip to Spain he got hit by a bull, just a little, during a visit to a bull fighting ranch. He is an avid gardener being mentored by his 90-year old Italian neighbour.
