Monica Noy

Manual Osteopathic Practitioner

Practice style (Philosophy)

Monica’s treatment focus is in helping people to manage different pain states, while encouraging return to daily and other activities. Treatment plans are negotiated around individual patient goals for resolution and management. A suggested timeline is provided to ensure progression is being made in moving toward independence and confidence in self-control over the situation. Monica starts with the patient story to understand how pain and dysfunction are affecting day to day activities and to help build a plan for change and resolution. Monica provides multi-modal treatments like combining hands-on therapy (such as osteopathy) with movement strategies for changing pain, and information about pain. Multi-modal treatments within a multidisciplinary program are being shown to be effective for long-term change and management of pain.
