Courtney Mahoney

Practice style (Philosophy)

Courtney’s treatment philosophy encourages patients to be active participants in their rehabilitation by providing them the knowledge, guidance and resources to ensure long term resolution of a wide array of injuries and conditions. Courtney believes the right combination of exercise therapy, education and alternative interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic taping, dry needling, etc., is the key to rehabilitation success.

Courtney grew up playing a variety of competitive sports, which naturally fostered an interest in physical conditioning, rehabilitation from sports injuries as well as injury prevention. This ultimately led her to pursuing a career in Physiotherapy. Courtney now uses her background in competitive sports to aid in building sport specific exercise programs. Whether you need to improve your speed, agility, power, flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, endurance or accuracy, Courtney will ensure you are provided with individualized programs to improve performance, prevent re-injury or help you return to your everyday functional activities.

Unique Facts

Courtney has continued her passion for sports and continues to enjoy playing soccer, softball and beach volleyball. Courtney is also an avid hockey player and a true Toronto sports fan (Go Leafs!). When Courtney isn’t playing sports you can find her chilling with her golden-doodle Sully, her true partner in crime.
