Practice style (Philosophy)

Dr. DeHaan’s practice at Synergy is focused on sports and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. She has a logical approach to problem solving and likes to take the time necessary to properly diagnose and treat patients. She works alongside a great team of other rehabilitation professionals at Synergy, with the focus on patient centred care. Dr. DeHaan is also fellowship trained in EMG/Neuromuscular Medicine, and works at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in the Orthoses (bracing) clinic to optimize function and walking ability primarily in those with lower extremity weakness or pain. Her research experience has included work in ALS, osteoarthritis and orthopaedic engineering.
