Dr. Catherine Chu
Practice style (Philosophy)
Dr. Catherine Chu is a graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College who went on to further her training in post-graduate studies in clinical sciences. She is a strong advocate for compassionate and evidence-informed care, helping patients overcome their pain and achieve their goals, whether it be returning to sports, work, or everyday activities. She believes that a well-rounded approach to well-being includes not just physical care, but also addressing the mental toll on those who have functional limitations due to their pain symptoms. She encourages all her patients to find activities they enjoy that will help them stay physically active, mentally engaged, and motivated to achieve their health goals.
Dr. Catherine uses a combination of functional movement assessment and physical examination to determine potential pain generators. Her plan of care is based on the needs of the patient, while utilizing a multi-modal approach to symptom management. This may look like a combination of exercise medicine, hands-on manual therapy, and a heavy emphasis on patient education.
